A 46-year-old male senior constable from the Brisbane Region has been charged with common assault and public nuisance following an alleged off-duty incident.
The officer has been served with a notice to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 18 September 2025. In line with Queensland Police Service (QPS) protocols, the officer has been stood down from duty while the matter is addressed.
The QPS has emphasized its commitment to maintaining high standards of behavior, transparency, and accountability. A spokesperson stated, "We have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated."
