A 57-year-old man has been charged following an alleged disturbance in Loganlea on September 18.

Police were called to Haig Street around 7.30pm after reports of a disturbance. It is alleged the man threatened a 40-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman with a weapon, causing injuries.

The 40-year-old man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital and the 52-year-old woman was transported to Logan Hospital.

The 57-year-old Loganlea man has been charged with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, September 19.
