Queensland schools will soon see artificial intelligence assistants introduced into classrooms, with a full rollout planned by mid-2026. The government-backed platform, called Corella, was trialled in schools throughout 2024 and 2025, where both students and teachers tested its potential. Education Minister John-Paul Langbroek said the AI was “developed with teachers and students at its core” and was designed to help with both learning and administration.

Students in Years 9 and 10 will be able to use the AI with parental approval, while teachers can rely on it for time-saving tasks such as lesson planning and record keeping. The government says the technology won’t replace teachers but instead act as an “assistive tool” to improve learning outcomes and efficiency across Queensland’s education system.
